About me:
My name is Heeyong(Logan) Park. I graduated from UC Santa Cruz and majored in Art & Design: Games & Playable Media B.A. In my two years of academic life at UCSC, I have played different roles and develop several games.
In the process of game development, I mainly play the roles of producer and level designer, but I was also working as an artist, programmer, and sound designer/ composer. The exchange of different roles made me have a clear understanding of the game development process o and also made me pay more attention to avoid the contradictions between different positions.
I'm willing to try different games and constantly learn the advantages of each game. When I do gameplay design, I will recall the games that are similar to our project, and think about how other people's excellent game mechanism and detail is designed. I will try to combine them, find new possibilities, and make them our game's core innovation and mechanism. As a result, it made our game different than others and interesting.
Some of my projects:
Tracing Memory is a Capstone project of USCS game design major. It spent 9 months to develop, and there were 11 people involved. As a capstone project, tracing memory is not only the summary of my college game design learning career, but also my last challenge before graduation.
In this project, I have participated in several positions. If ranked by workload, I worked as a producer, level designer, sound designer, gameplay designer, and programmer respectively.
Among them, producer and level designer were the most challenging and time-consuming areas.
Color -Less -Ful is a final project of one of my 2020 spring classes. It spent 4 weeks to develop, and there were 3 people involved. In this project, I worked as the producer, mechanism designer, level designer, and artist.
